After a lengthy build spanning 7 years (Had a few breaks of a year plus at times) I finally got to fly my 72″ span Mosquito at Davidstow airfield. A fitting venue which was well utilised during WW2. The model is built off a Brian Taylor plan, which I bought from Sarik Hobbies along with the laser cut balsa kit. I will post a separate article showing photo’s of some of the build for anyone that’s interested. The maiden flight overall was very smooth and the model tracked well, only hitch upon returning to earth was the landing gear bent backwards causing the model to nose over and come to a stop. No damage done thankfully and just a rework of the retracts to sort; happy days.
