As we travelled to Lynmouth we passed through lots of rain. Approaching the coast the edge of the this weather front was visible and passed just as we arrived and changed to the spectacular day in the pictures.
The scenery around Lynton and Lymouth is just spectacular, and the views from Countisbury Hill are breathtaking.
A club contingent of four arrived at the site around noon, the weather was superb a 10 – 15 MPH wind, just perfect!
for slope soaring in comfort!
The three flyers; Andrew’s Phase 6 top, Gary’s Bixler3 middle and Simon’s Phoenix 2000 bottom.
Video that Simon took of the Multiplex LS3 doing fly pasts for the camera. Amazing footage for a mobile;
What a superb day. Best introduction to Slope Soaring that Simon and I could have wished for. Previously had my doubts about gliding, but after experiencing the lift that can be gained at the right site, with matching weather conditions; this takes some beating. Well and truly hooked. Thanks to Rob and Andrew for arranging.
